The Dean of the Faculty of Commerce of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business announces the admission procedure for doctoral studies for the academic year 2026/2027
for a 3-year full-time study and a 4-year part-time study in the field of study of economics and management in the following study programmes:

An applicant who submits an electronic application must also deliver all required attachments to the Research and PhD. Study Office of the Faculty of Commerce (see Further conditions of admission to study third degree study programmes at the Faculty of Commerce of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business for the academic year 2026/2027, Art. 2, point 4, 5).
Only the applicant will be invited to the entrance exam who submits a duly completed application, attaches all required attachments electronically and in printed form, and pays the fee for the admission procedure.
Fees associated with studies are listed in internal regulation number B/5/2025 - Tuition fees and charges related to the study at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business for the academic year 2026/2027 - Valid from September 1, 2026.
The deadline for electronic submission of applications for doctoral studies and at the same time submission of all required attachments, including projects in Slovak and in English, in printed form to the Research and PhD. Study Office of the Faculty of Commerce is

- In the full-time form of doctoral studies, the number of accepted students will be known at the time of the entrance exams, based on the determination of the number of scholarship places and allocated financial resources.
- In the part-time form of doctoral studies, the exact number of accepted students will be known at the time of the entrance exams based on the free capacity of the supervisor.
Only one candidate can be accepted for one topic listed for doctoral studies.
Enrollment for study
Applicants who will be admitted to a doctoral study programme are required to attend the registration in person, which will take place in the beginning of September 2026, according to the instructions they will receive in writing together with the admission decision.
Teaching at the doctoral studies takes place on weekdays mainly in the morning hours.

Submission of applications
The application to the Facultyof Commerce of the EU in Bratislava must be submitted exclusively electronically through AIS - ELECTRONIC APPLICATION
Only one application is submitted for one EU in Bratislava faculty. In case of interest in several study programs at the same faculty, only one application is submitted and one admission fee is paid. We recommend listing the selected study programs (max. 3) in order of importance according to your own preferences.
In case of interest in studying study programs at several EU faculties in Bratislava, a separate application is submitted for each of these faculties and the admission fee is paid separately for each of these faculties.
Which data must be filled in the application?
- academic year 2026/2027,
- required personal data - name, surname, maiden name, titles, birth number, date of birth, place of birth, marital status, place of permanent residence, gender and citizenship, name, surname and maiden name of the parent, and for a foreigner, the place of residence in the Slovak Republic, the birth number of a foreigner, if it was assigned to him by the Ministry of the Interior, for applicants without a birth number, the birth number created from the date of birth in the form yymmdd0000 is used (e.g. for the date of birth 02.05.1996 – 9605020000),
- name of the faculty: Faculty of Commerce,
- name of the study program,
- form of study (full-time or part-time study),
- study method (present),
- in case of interest in studying in another study program of the Faculty of Commerce EUBA in Bratislava, the applicant can indicate another study program in the following lines on the same form, In the event that multiple forms of study or multiple study programs of a given faculty are listed on one application, the study program listed by the applicant first is taken into account during the entrance examination (including the issuance of a decision on the result of the admission procedure); other study programs are taken into account only in the case of free capacities on another form of study or another study program listed in the study application,
- information about the completed bachelor's degree at the university,
- data on further and unfinished studies at university,
- a statement of study results from the entire bachelor's degree except for the results from the last summer semester,
- contact details (e-mail, mobile phone number),
- date.
The appendix to the application for the second degree of study for applicants who completed the first degree of study in 2025 and earlier consists of:
- officially certified photocopy of university diploma,
- officially certified photocopy of the supplement to the diploma,
- officially certified photocopy of the state examination certificate,
- applicants whose education documents did not include a supplement to the diploma, will submit a statement of the results of the first degree of study confirmed by the study department of the faculty where the applicants studied the first degree. The statement of study results contains the results for the student's entire study with an indication of the credit load and results for individual subjects.
Applicants who are continuing their second degree at the Faculty of Commerce EUBA in Bratislava, where they completed their first degree, do not need to submit officially certified photocopies of their bachelor's degree completion documents.
Admission fees
Only the applicant who submits a duly completed application electronically and pays the fee for the admission process by April 30, 2026 will be included in the admission procedure.
Fee in the amount of €40.
The fee for the admission procedure for the 2nd degree of study for study programs in the English language is €90 and must be paid by February 28, 2026.

Important information:
- The fee for the admission procedure can be paid exclusively by bank transfer (not by postal order).
- The fee will be used exclusively for the preparation and implementation of the admission procedure and the entrance exam. The fee will be paid after registration of the application in case of non-participation in the entrance exam, or does not refund when the application is canceled by the applicant.
- In the event that the applicant is unable to take part in the entrance exam for serious reasons, he/she may request a refund of part of the fee (up to a maximum of €10) in writing to the Dean of the Faculty of Business. A request for a refund of part of the fee, with an attached document on the obvious reasons for not participating in the entrance exams for the 2nd degree of study, must be delivered to the study department of the Faculty of Business no later than 3 days before the entrance exam is held (the date of the postmark is decisive).

Basic condition: completed first-degree studies in the study field of economics and management by 31 August 2026 at the latest, while the sum of the number of credits for the previous university studies, which earned the university education, and the number of credits required for the proper completion of the 2nd-level study program, for which the applicant applies, there must be at least 300 credits.
The qualitative selection will be made on the basis of study results at the bachelor's level of study.
The study applicant (with the exception of applicants from OF EUBA) is obliged to deliver to the Study Department of EUBA, no later than April 30, 2026 and until February 28, 2026 – for study programs in English a statement of the results of the first degree of study, confirmed by the study department of the faculty where the applicant is studying for the first degree.
The criterion for admission is the weighted arithmetic average for the entire period of bachelor's studies, except for the last (summer) semester of study.
Applicants who have not completed their studies at the Faculty of Commerce EUBA (completed their studies at another university or another EUBA faculty) will submit an officially certified photocopy of the university diploma (B.C.), supplement to the diploma and the state examination certificate to the Faculty of Commerce EUBA Study Department no later than 30 April 2026. Applicants who do not submit the required documents by the set deadline may be admitted conditionally, with the fact that the final decision on admission will be issued and sent only after proving that the basic conditions for admission to study have been met, no later than on the day designated for enrollment.

- foreign language in which the applicant is interested in taking the entrance exam,
- the year of the matriculation exam,
- secondary school code,
- type of secondary school attended, its name and address,
- field of study and code of the field of study of the secondary school,
- an overview of previous studies at university,
- date.
The application annex consists of:
- for applicants who graduated in 2025 and earlier, an officially certified photocopy of the graduation certificate without an addition to the graduation certificate,
- applicants who will graduate in 2026 must submit a certified photocopy of the graduation certificate without an addition to the graduation certificate at the latest when appearing for the entrance exam. Original certificates will not be accepted. Certified photocopies of the graduation certificate are submitted on the day of the admission procedure, at the latest on the day of registration for studies.
An applicant with a reduced medical capacity and an applicant with specific needs is obliged to attach the appropriate document and contact the Faculty of Business in order to determine the form of the entrance exam and the method of its implementation, taking into account his specific needs.
Admission fees
Only the applicant who submits a properly completed application electronically by the specified deadline and pays the fee for the admission process by April 30, 2026 will be included in the admission procedure.

Important information:
- The fee for the admission procedure can be paid exclusively by bank transfer (not by postal order). A transfer order for payment in a bank is not proof of payment of the fee for the admission procedure. A statement from a bank account or confirmation of payment or confirmation of a completed payment from internet banking.
- The fee will be used exclusively for the preparation and implementation of the admission procedure and the entrance exam. Entrance exam
The entrance exam for the 1st degree consists of written tests:
- from general study prerequisites
- from one foreign language according to the candidates' choice from the following offer: from English, German, French, Spanish, Italian or Russian.Foreigners (except for the Czech Republic) are required to take the Slovak language entrance exam. Foreign applicants who graduated in the Slovak language (in the Slovak Republic or abroad) are required to take an entrance exam in a language other than Slovak.
Exempt from the entrance exam are:
- Participants of the all-Slovak round of professional, or of an economically focused competition, organized nationwide for secondary school students: Economic Olympiad, Young Accountant Olympiad and Mathematical Olympiad, held until April 30, 2026.
- Participants of the all-Slovak round as part of the all-Slovak competition for secondary school students taking place in at least three promotion rounds and the competition was organized by one of the EU faculties in Bratislava until April 30, 2026
- Those who, no later than April 30, 2026, take the General Study Prerequisites test (or its Czech version General Study Prerequisites) and at the same time a foreign language test within the National Comparative Examinations (NPS) provided by Scio and obtain a percentile equal to or higher in each test like 60. Tests within the National Comparative Examinations can be taken during the 2025/2026 academic year in several cities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The tests can be taken more than once, applicants are always credited with the best achieved test result.

- Basic condition: complete secondary education or complete secondary vocational education completed by matriculation.An applicant who does not demonstrate fulfillment of the basic conditions for admission to study at the time of the entrance exams may be admitted to study conditionally, with the obligation to demonstrate fulfillment of the basic conditions for admission to study at the latest on the day designated for enrollment.
- Another condition: passing the entrance exam from all its parts.
When accepting applicants for studies, we do not take into account the results achieved in high school studies, nor the level of the matriculation exam and its subjects and their results.
