On June 30 and July 1, 2026, the graduation ceremony of the graduates of the Bachelor's and Engineering studies of the Faculty of Commerce of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business took place in the Auditorium. This significant academic moment was the culmination of several years of effort, determination and work of the students who successfully completed their studies at the Faculty of Commerce.

During the graduation ceremony, the graduates received their diplomas from the hands of the management of the faculty and the university. The graduation ceremony was also an opportunity to recognize the most successful graduates who achieved extraordinary academic results or prepared exceptional final theses during their studies.

For exceptional academic results and creative approach in the preparation of the diploma thesis, the RECTOR'S AWARD OF THE BRATISLAVA UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS was awarded. The following were awarded:

  • Ing. Lea Wolzbergerová /Marketing and Trade management/,
  • Ing. Nina Demová /Marketing and Trade Management in English/,

 

THE DEAN'S AWARD OF THE FACULTY OF COMMERCE for exceptional academic results was awarded to graduates of both bachelor's and engineering studies.

Within the first-degree studies, the following were awarded:

  • Bc. Alina Maratbayeva /International Business/,
  • Bc. Sára Sokolová /Business and Marketing/,
  • Bc. Linda Macková /Musiness in Tourism and Services/.

Within the second-degree studies, the following were awarded:

  • Ing. Soňa Bašovská /Marketing and Trade management/,
  • Ing. Victória Líšková /International Business Management/,
  • Ing. Rafaela Katarína Repiská /Tourism Management/.

 

The graduation ceremony also included the awarding of the PROF. ING. PETER BALÁŽ, PHD. AWARD, which is awarded in cooperation with Infinity standard, a. s. for the best diploma theses in the field of international trade. By awarding this award, the Faculty of Commerce commemorates a significant personality, a leading economist and expert in international trade, an unforgettable colleague and teacher – Professor Peter Baláž, who worked at the Faculty of Commerce for more than 40 years and educated thousands of successful graduates. The award also highlights the best diploma theses of graduates of the study program International Business Management, whose guarantor for many years was Professor Baláž.

The following received the award:

1st place: Ing. Oliver Ganobčík for the diploma thesis "Strategy of the competitiveness of a Slovak technology company in international markets",


2nd place: Ing. Jakub Kmeť for the diploma thesis "Azerbaijan as an energy partner of the EU with implications for the Slovak Republic",


3rd place: Ing. Andrea Veselá for the diploma thesis "Specifics of mergers and acquisitions in the creative industry".


The award of Prof. Ing. Petr Baláž, PhD. was personally presented to the awarded graduates by the CEO of Infinity standard, a. s. Ing. Michaela Mathisrud Královičová, PhD., together with the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Assoc. Prof. Ing. Peter Drábik, PhD., MSc.

 

During the graduation ceremony, the AWARD OF THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COOP JEDNOTA SLOVAKIA was also awarded for the best diploma thesis in the study program Marketing and Trade Management.

The following received the award:

1st place: Ing. Katarína Ješková for the diploma thesis "Keyword Optimization for a Specific Market Segment",

2nd place: Ing. Samuel Ivanič for the diploma thesis "Sales forecasting in a selected entity",
3rd place: Ing. Laura Badinská for the diploma thesis "Silver economy as an attribute of assortment restructuring in retail".


The award is presented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of COOP Jednota Slovensko, s. d. Ing. Ján Bilinský together with Dean Peter Drábik.

 

HYDROTOUR COMPANY AWARD for the best diploma thesis in the field of tourism in the study program Tourism Management:

1st place Ing. Dominika Charvátová with the diploma thesis "Creation of a travel agency product in a selected winter destination"

2nd place Ing. Alica Kiklicová with the diploma thesis "Sustainable tourism in the context of green and digital transformation"

3rd place Ing. Sofia Lepeňová with her diploma thesis "Marketing Strategy of the Fabrika Vyhne Resort"

The award is presented by the CEO of HYDROTOUR, travel agency, a. s. Ing. Mikuláš Milko together with Dean Peter Drábik.

 

AWARD OF BEST HOTEL PROPERTIES, A. S. for the best diploma thesis in the field of gastronomy and hotel industry in the study program of Tourism management:

1st place Ing. Viktória Hrušovská with her diploma thesis "Turquoise management in a tourism company"

2nd place Ing. Karin Mikušová with her diploma thesis "Risk perception assessment and crisis management of tourism entities"

The Faculty of Commerce warmly congratulates all graduates on their successful completion of their studies and especially the awarded graduates on their exceptional results.
