Business and Marketing (previously Business in Trade)

Graduates of the business and marketing study program understand the essence, principles and tools of business and corporate activities in all sectors with an emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises, family businesses and startups. They are ready to use entrepreneurial competences in practice and decide on the direction of their own entrepreneurial activity. They can design feasible and competitive business models and strategies, identify and analyze problems and opportunities, develop and verify business ideas and implement them in business practice, in business activities and the functioning of various types of small and medium-sized enterprises, family businesses, startups and operations of various focuses. Graduates will acquire knowledge about ways of caring for customers and employees and cooperation with managers and specialists of other professions. Graduates of the study program also have knowledge of marketing, corporate economics, corporate finance, corporate tax policy, corporate management and interdisciplinary application of business processes even in the environment of new trends in the economy such as Industry 4.0. They have knowledge about the design and development of new products and their life cycle management, pricing, distribution and logistics activities and communication with customers at the level of the final consumer and companies. They are prepared to successfully perform professional tasks related to company activities, middle management functions and junior positions in the field of marketing, management and business consulting.

 

International Business

Graduates of the study program International Business have theoretical and practical knowledge of international business, in particular in the field of corporate economics, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, business law and operations at foreign markets, as well as the use of quantitative methods, IT skills and foreign languages, which enable them to successfully carry out the executive and managerial functions of the business entity. They can work as members of the management teams at the central level of management in organizations implementing international business activities and foreign business activities. Graduates of the study program can analyze problems and opportunities in business activities of different types of enterprises - enterprises of production, trade and services, to design solutions for the optimal functioning of business entities and implement them. Graduates acquire knowledge of ways how to collaborate with managers and specialists in other professions, which also requires knowledge of psychology, communication and information systems. The graduates of the study program have also knowledge of the corporate economy, corporate finances, corporate management and specifically business trade, European and international economic law and business services.

 

Business in Tourism and Services (from the academic year 2026/27 Business in Tourism)

The graduates of the study program Business in Tourism and Services are able to analyze problems and opportunities in the business activities of tourism and services, to design solutions for the optimal functioning of business entities and implement them. Graduates acquire knowledge of ways how to collaborate with managers and specialists in other professions, which also requires knowledge of psychology, communication and information systems. The graduates of the study program have also knowledge on the corporate economy, corporate finances, corporate management and specifically business in tourism and services. Graduates of the study program are qualified economists/technologists of tourism services ready to take up a professional position at the primary and middle level of management in companies and in organizations of tourism and services. The graduates are able to organize and manage business-operational processes, they can create innovative products of tourism, they have professional skills in using information technology and intelligent systems in tourism services, they can lead people, they have managerial and marketing skills for a separate business in tourism services. The graduates can be employed at tourism companies and services operating on both national and international markets and organizations which are engaged in the development of tourism.
 

Business in Tourism

Graduates of the Business in Tourism study program have knowledge and professional skills applicable in the field of tourism and related services. They are capable of analyzing problems and identifying opportunities in business activities, as well as independently proposing innovative solutions for optimal operations. They possess advanced skills in the use of digital technologies, while their acquired soft skills enhance their ability to manage teamwork and communicate effectively in foreign languages within an international environment. They are prepared to manage business processes responsibly and creatively design tourism products to meet market demands. Graduates of this study program are qualified professionals ready to find employment in tourism enterprises and organizations, as well as in related services, primarily in entry-level and middle management positions. Their professional competencies also provide a solid foundation for independent entrepreneurship in tourism services. The general and specialized knowledge and skills they acquire are a strong basis for continuing their studies at the second level of higher education in related programs at universities both domestically and abroad.
